Neon signs have become a popular art form, adorning storefronts, jazzing up interiors, and even becoming central pieces at events. But have you ever wondered how these glowing beauties are made? At Kelly's Art Shack, we're taking you behind the scenes to unveil the process behind the creation of our custom neon signs. Unlike traditional neon signs made from glass, we proudly use flexible silicon for our creations, enhancing both durability and design possibilities. The Shift to Silicon Traditionally, neon signs were made using glass tubes, which, while beautiful, posed several challenges - they were fragile, challenging to shape, and energy-consuming. At Kelly's Art Shack, we've embraced the future of neon signs: flexible silicon. It offers the same vibrant glow but with increased durability, flexibility, and energy efficiency. The Neon Sign Creation Process Here’s a look at our step-by-step process: Designing Every neon sign begins with a concept. Whether it's a logo, a phrase, or a custom design, our team works with you to translate your vision into a digital design, which serves as the blueprint for your neon sign. Cutting the Silicon Tube Unlike glass neon tubes, silicon tubes are incredibly flexible and easy to work with. We use precision cutting tools to cut the silicon tubes to match the design's length specifications. Shaping the Sign The flexible nature of silicon allows us to shape it into almost any design without worrying about breakage. Our skilled craftsmen mold the silicon tubes by hand, carefully following the digital design to ensure accuracy. Inserting the LEDs Once the silicon tube has been shaped, it's time to insert the LED neon lights. The LED lights provide the bright, vibrant glow associated with neon signs, using less energy than traditional neon gas. Sealing and Testing After the LED lights are inserted, the ends of the silicon tubes are sealed to create a closed circuit. The sign is then connected to a power source and tested to ensure everything is functioning correctly. Installation Hardware Finally, the neon sign is attached to a clear acrylic backing and fitted with installation hardware. This backing makes it easy to mount the sign while keeping the focus on the vibrant neon. Packaging and Delivery The finished neon sign is carefully packaged to ensure it arrives safely at your doorstep, ready to brighten up your space! Why Choose Silicon Neon Signs? Silicon neon signs offer many advantages over traditional glass signs. They are more durable, making them less likely to break during installation or transport. Their flexibility allows for more intricate and complex designs, letting you truly customize your sign. Moreover, they are more energy-efficient and eco-friendly, aligning with our commitment to sustainable practices. Creating a neon sign is a meticulous process that combines artistic vision with skilled craftsmanship. At Kelly's Art Shack, we've revolutionized this process by embracing flexible silicon, bringing you neon signs that are not only beautiful and vibrant but also durable, flexible, and energy-efficient. Ready to bring your vision to light? Reach out to us and let's create something glowing together! Tagline: "Kelly's Art Shack: Where Art, Craftsmanship, and Innovation Illuminate Your World."
